Data controller
The data controller is MIABA GROUP SARL U, Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. For any question about your data, write to bookings@miaba.africa.
Data we collect
When you book or request a quote: first and last name, email, phone, company where applicable, pickup locations and times, number of passengers and bags, flight details and special requests.
When you apply as a partner or supplier: identity and contact details, company and vehicle information, the requested documents (ID, driving licence, vehicle registration, trade register, insurance certificate) and payment details.
When you browse: technical data and visit statistics, and the source of your visit (for example an advertising campaign), attached to your booking request.
Purposes
Your data is used to process and fulfil your bookings, issue quotes and invoices, contact you about your ride, select and pay our partners, answer your messages, measure website traffic to improve it, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Your data is never sold.
Recipients
Your data is accessible to authorised MIABA staff. The partner assigned to your ride only receives what is needed to carry it out: name, phone, route and times.
We rely on technical providers: Contabo (hosting, Germany), Brevo (email delivery), Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity (audience measurement), OpenStreetMap (mapping; addresses are looked up from our servers without sharing your identity). Some of these providers process data outside Côte d'Ivoire, with appropriate security safeguards.
Retention
Bookings, quotes and invoices are kept for ten years, as required by OHADA accounting law. Requests that did not proceed and messages are kept for no more than three years after the last contact. Partner documents are kept for the duration of the partnership, then deleted or archived in line with our legal obligations.
Security
Exchanges with the website are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to data is restricted to authorised people, with rights limited to their role.
Cookies and analytics
The website uses a cookie to remember your language, as well as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used. These tools may set their own cookies.
You can block or delete them at any time in your browser settings; the website remains usable.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, object to and delete your data. To exercise it, write to bookings@miaba.africa stating your request; we will reply as quickly as possible.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may contact the Côte d'Ivoire Telecommunications/ICT Regulatory Authority (ARTCI) at artci.ci.
